The short version
LetterPick is a static website. We don't require accounts, the quiz runs entirely in your browser, and we set no cookies. The only personal data we ever hold is an email address you choose to give us, or the data a client hands us for a migration.
Who we are
LetterPick is operated by webshark. For anything about your data, write to hello@letterpick.co.
What we collect
The quiz: your answers are scored in your browser and never sent to us.
Email updates (optional): on the quiz result you can enter your email to receive the comparison and occasional updates. If you do, we store that address with the platform the quiz picked for you, use it only to send those emails, and never sell or share it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list. Our legal basis is your consent.
Migration clients: if you hire us to move your newsletter, we handle your subscriber list and account access on your instructions, as your processor. We use that data only to perform the migration, do not use it for anything else, and delete our copies within 30 days after the aftercare period ends. You remain responsible for your own subscribers' privacy notices. Our legal basis is the contract with you.
Cookies
We set none, so there is no consent banner: no advertising cookies, no social pixels, no session recording, nothing stored on your device by this site. When you follow a partner link, the destination platform (such as beehiiv or Kit) may set its own cookie to attribute your signup to us. Those cookies belong to that platform and are governed by its privacy policy; we receive anonymous conversion counts, never your details.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify visitors or track them across sites; it records aggregate page views, referrers and country, plus three anonymous events (quiz completed, partner link clicked, newsletter sign-up completed) that record which platform the quiz picked, never who you are. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is used. Details are in Vercel's analytics privacy notes.
Hosting
The site is served by Vercel, which processes standard request logs (IP address, browser, page requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under Vercel's privacy policy. Fonts are served from our own domain; nothing is loaded from any other third party.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your personal data, to take it with you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Email us and we will answer within 30 days. For the email list, the unsubscribe link does it instantly.
Changes
If our practices change, we'll update this page and the date above.
